Payments
The Port Kennedy Dental Group is not a public dental clinic.
We require payment for dental treatments to be made on the day of treatment. EFTPOS facilities are available for your convenience in making payments.
HICAPS allows on the spot health fund rebates. Over 35 health funds support HICAPS. Your health fund card is swiped through the HICAPS terminal. Claim details are entered and the transaction processed. Once the claim is authorised, simply pay the gap amount - the difference between the full fee for the treatment and the amount claimed from your health fund. HICAPS has an EFTPOS facility that then allows you to pay the gap owing with your direct debit or credit card.
Bulk billing is when a medical practice bills the Commonwealth Government for medical treatments. Unfortunately the Australian Government does not include Dentistry in medicare. The state government may provide subsidised dental treatment for eligible people. Details can be found by contacting the Rockingham Public Dental Clinic on 08 9592 7222.
Port Kennedy Dental Group can provide treatment to most DVA card holders, with no costs to the Veteran. Eligible children covered by the Child Dental Benefits Schedule need to make payment on the day of treatment. This can then be claimed back from Medicare.
